A green or blue stain, a pin-spray on a line, or a ceiling that fails after a ‘small’ leak. The hole is small. The water is not.
Why they cluster in some buildings.
Water chemistry, velocity, temperature, and pipe condition can combine. That is why one repaired coupling does not always end the year.

Each incident still needs a shutoff and a repair. The board also needs a simple log: date, suite, hot or cold, and who attended. That log is what an assessment reads.

Is every pinhole a LEaC Shield job?
No. Suitability is building-specific. Recurring domestic hot and cold pinholes are the reason to talk about an assessment, not a single failed fitting.
Can I patch copper with tape?
Tape is not a repair. Isolate the line if you can do so safely and call.
