Recurring pinhole leaks are a reason to review the domestic water system as a whole. A LEaC Shield assessment brings the building history, water-use records and mechanical equipment into one conversation before a proposed installation is scoped.
Bring the history behind the repair calls.
A list of past leaks is more useful than a general statement that the building has old pipes. Record the date, floor or riser, hot or cold water line, observed failure and completed repair wherever those facts are available. Mark unknown details as unknown.
Include building age, unit and storey counts, existing piping information and planned plumbing or mechanical work. A future water-meter change or hot-water project may affect the installation discussion.

Gather one year of water-use records.
The site-visit checklist asks for a year of water bills or water-use records. Gather a continuous period if available, identify which meter the records cover and note gaps. The purpose is to give the assessment team context for the building’s water use.
If records are incomplete, share what you have and describe what is missing. Do not estimate consumption and present it as a meter reading. A first conversation can still establish which records the team needs next.
Arrange access to the water system.
Coordinate the visit with an authorized building contact who can arrange water-meter and boiler-room access. Confirm access hours and any building procedures before the visit. Keep access codes and resident details out of a public callback message.

The assessment supports a building-specific scope. Ask which domestic hot and cold water systems are being considered, what further information is needed and how proposed equipment would connect to the existing arrangement. The reference system diagram shows a concept; it is not a construction drawing for your property.

Make the first request simple.
Send the building location, your role, a short description of the recurring issue and whether water is currently active. Explain whether the property team can arrange mechanical-room access. The team can then confirm the next step and how to share supporting records.
If water is actively causing damage, call first. The assessment process does not replace the response or repair needed for an existing leak.

Do we need complete drawings before contacting ProShield?
No. Describe the records you have and any gaps. Existing drawings are useful context, but the first conversation can identify what is needed for the site review.
What rooms should the building make available?
Arrange authorized access to the water-meter and boiler rooms, including relevant backflow, booster-pump, hot-water and recirculation equipment. Confirm the access plan with the visiting team.
Does a site assessment include a fixed installation price?
The assessment informs the scope. Equipment, installation, ongoing servicing and any further work need to be identified in the property-specific proposal; the website does not quote a fixed building price.
