Suite sensors
A sensor notices water. It does not find the first hole in a riser.
Puck sensors under a sink or behind a washer can catch a local failure early. They do not replace investigation, and they do not shut a building main by themselves unless that is designed.
Place them where water actually starts.
Water heaters, washers, dishwashers, and fridge lines are common. A sensor in a dry bedroom helps nobody.
Decide who hears the alarm.
A beep in an empty suite is not a response plan. Occupant, manager, or a monitored service has to be named.
Sensors do not treat copper.
If the building’s problem is recurring pinholes, sensors are a notice layer. Corrosion-control assessment is a different conversation.

Can I buy sensors and skip a building plan?
You can protect your own suite. A corporation still needs a building-level discussion for common pipes and shutoffs.
Will a sensor stop the water?
Only if it is part of a shutoff design that is allowed in that suite. Most pucks only alarm.
